Krabs (Clancy Brown), money-grubbing crab and owner of the restaurant where SpongeBob and Squidward work. There's also SpongeBob's best buddy Patrick, an slothful starfish, and the feisty Squidward, the cranky six-tentacled octopus who wants only to play his clarinet but is foiled at every turn by the well-intentioned but blissfully unaware SpongeBob and Patrick. SpongeBob is hopelessly square in more ways than one, always fantastically cheerful and juvenile and prone to misadventure. It's a seascape in which characters can draw breath, light fires, and even befriend a squirrel in a wetsuit. SpongeBob SquarePants follows the nonsensical adventures of a certain square sponge as he and his friends frolic under the sea. But if you're even a casual fan of SpongeBob, you're going to have to pick up this set, because it contains some truly hilarious never-before-seen-on-disc episodes, as well as a couple of fantastic extras. That does take a little of the joy away from this new season set, and indeed, it might provoke a little justifiable anger toward Paramount. As you'll see below, only about a third of the episodes contained herein are new to DVD.

On the backside, " Krab Borg" is listed as "Krab Borg !," which adds an exclamation mark to the title. This also happens with The Complete Fourth Season and The Complete Fifth Season DVDs.

At some point in 2015, this DVD set and The Complete Fourth Season were released together in a bundle called the 2-Season TV Pack. Region 2 and 4 releases remove all special features for unknown reasons. There are no deleted scenes in this DVD package, so thus there is no way of seeing the uncensored scene in " Just One Bite" in it. The 3 discs are copy/pasted from The Complete 3rd Season. There are more characters on the prototype cover than the final cover. The reason " Help Wanted" is on this box set is because during the production of the Season 1 DVD box set, they had copyright issues over the song " Livin' in the Sunlight, Lovin' in the Moonlight," which was featured in "Help Wanted," so they ignored it and promised to include it in a future DVD release.
